We commenced online in 2001. In 2003 our database was licensed to (and subsidised by) the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). The licence was later transferred by way of a novation agreement from the HEFCE to the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).

With over 200 educational institutions as subscribers, we are the largest online providers of AS/A Level Law materials.

We have subscribers worldwide from countries (mostly the Commonwealth) where our common law provided the foundation of their own legal systems.

We are the only provider of up-to-date law in real time.
